Session on ‘Effects of Social Media’ Successfully Conducted at APS Bathinda 2024-25
Army Public School, Bathinda, organized an insightful session on the topic ‘Effects of Social Media’ on 17th January 2025 for the students of Class VIII. The session focused on creating awareness about both the positive and negative impacts of social media on individuals and society. Students were encouraged to harness the benefits of social media while maintaining a balanced and mindful approach to its usage. The session proved to be an enriching experience, equipping students with the knowledge and tools to navigate the digital world responsibly and make informed decisions in their online interactions.
APS Bathinda Shines in Inter-School Quiz Competition Under PPC 2025
As part of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2025, an Inter-School Quiz Competition was organized by KV No. 1, Bathinda, on 23rd January 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 104 students representing various schools in the region. The students of Army Public School, Bathinda, brought laurels to the school with their outstanding performance. Urvashi of Class XI Arts secured the third position, while Rohan of Class IX A received a consolation prize, showcasing their knowledge and determination. The school congratulates both students on their commendable achievements and applauds their hard work and dedication.
Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 at APS Bathinda 2024-25
Army Public School, Bathinda, celebrated Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 with a series of meaningful activities organized from 15 to 23 January 2025. The event aimed to promote holistic development and cultivate a stress-free approach to exam preparation among students.
The celebration included indigenous games such as Pithu Garam and Kho Kho, along with a fitness marathon, emphasizing the importance of physical well-being and preserving India’s cultural heritage. Students showcased their creativity and innovation through a variety of activities, including poster-making, poetry recitation, thought-provoking Nukkad Natak performances and video presentations.
To enhance mental well-being, yoga and meditation sessions were conducted, fostering mindfulness and emotional balance. Additionally, mental health counselling sessions were organised to address exam-related concerns and equip students with strategies to manage stress effectively. Inspirational videos featuring motivational messages encouraged students to approach challenges with confidence and a positive mindset.
These initiatives, in alignment with the vision of Pariksha Pe Charcha hosted by PM Modi, created a nurturing and supportive environment for students, ensuring a blend of academic excellence and personal growth at APS Bathinda.
National Girl Child Day 2024-25
Army Public School, Bathinda, observed National Girl Child Day with a special assembly on 24th January 2025, highlighting the importance of empowering girls and promoting gender equality.
The program commenced with a thought-provoking speech that emphasized the need to provide equal opportunities to girls, followed by a vibrant dance performance symbolizing their strength and resilience. A soulful group song further enriched the theme of empowerment, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.
During the assembly, the winners of various school competitions were felicitated by the Principal, who also addressed the gathering, underscoring the significance of National Girl Child Day and encouraging students to contribute towards a more inclusive society.
The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride, unity and commitment to uplifting and valuing the girl child. The event served as a powerful reminder of the crucial role girls play in shaping a brighter future.
REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS 2024-25
APS Bathinda celebrated the 76th Republic Day on 26 January 2025 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Principal. This was followed by a soulful group song performed by school’s music teachers, filling the air with patriotic pride. The Principal then addressed gathering, inspiring everyone with words of motivation, followed by an address by Junior Wing Coordinator, who emphasized significance of the occasion.
To mark the importance of Republic Day, a Special Assembly was organised for Classes I to XII on 24 and 25 January 2025. The students participated with immense enthusiasm, expressing their love for the nation through soul-stirring patriotic songs, captivating dance performances, and beautifully recited poems. A thought-provoking speech highlighted the historical significance of the day, instilling a sense of responsibility and national pride among the students.
The principal felicitated the teachers whose students secured a perfect score of 100 marks in their respective subjects in classes X and XII board exams. The event concluded with singing of the National Anthem, fostering a deep sense of unity and respect for country.
In an effort to nurture patriotism and creativity, students of Classes I and II actively participated in a Tricolour Badge Making activity. This engaging initiative not only enhanced their artistic skills but also deepened their sense of love and belonging toward the nation.
The Republic Day celebrations at APS Bathinda truly reflected the spirit of democracy, patriotism and unity, leaving everyone inspired and proud of their country.
Students of APS Bathinda attended a counselling session at Sagat Singh Auditorium 2024-25
595 students of classes VII and VIII of Army Public School, Bathinda, along with 20 teachers, attended an inspiring counselling session organized by HQ 10 Corps Welfare Branch at Sagat Singh Auditorium on 31st January 2025. The session was led by Mr. Lokesh Nathany, a distinguished TEDx speaker, who has been felicitated by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, in New Delhi for his exceptional contributions to storytelling, mentoring, and curation. Mr. Nathany captivated the audience with his powerful words, encouraging both students and teachers to chase their dreams with unwavering determination. His thought-provoking insights revolved around key motivational aspects, including the importance of dreams, writing down one's dreams to make them more concrete, dreaming big and working towards making it happen, believing in oneself, maintaining a positive mindset, and overcoming challenges by questioning whether one’s dream is harder than breaking a mountain. He emphasized that persistence is key, giving up is never an option, and practicing gratitude is essential for a fulfilling journey. The session left a lasting impact on the students and teachers, igniting a spark of motivation and self-belief. Kite Making Activity 2024-25
A Kite Making Activity was organized for students of Classes I to VIII on 31 January 2025. The children showcased their creativity by designing and making their own kites.
The activity was not only a source of joy but also helped in fostering collaboration, teamwork and coordination among the students. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and cooperation throughout the event.

Official Visit of School Patron 2024-25
APS Bathinda had the distinct honour of hosting School Patron on 3 February 2025. The school Principal presented a PPT, showcasing schools achievement in Academics and co-curricular activities.
Following the presentation, the Patron went on a round of the campus and interacted with students and teachers.. His visit included an exploration of the science exhibition and a close look at the Robotics Lab, among other highlights. The Patron expressed his appreciation for the school’s dedication and provided valuable insights into fostering a dynamic learning environment.
Counselling Session 2024-25
The session on 'Appreciating differences' was organised on Feb 04, 2025 for classes VI and VII by school counselor, Ms Vishakha Priya. The objective of the session was to foster a culture of inclusion and respect among students. The interactive discussions helped participants to understand diverse perspectives and build stronger connections.
International Letter Writing Competition 2024-25
An International Letter Writing Competition was organized on 4 February 2025 for students of Classes IV to IX. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of 142 students, who showcased their exceptional writing skills in a creative and artistic manner on the topic "Imagine you are an ocean. Write a letter to someone explaining why and how they should take good care of you."
It was truly inspiring to see the students’ zeal and dedication towards this competition, which serves as a platform to refine their writing abilities for the international stage.
Official Visit of Col Kamal Singh Retd, Director AWES SWC 2024-25
On February 5, 2025, APS Bathinda had the distinct honor of hosting Col Kamal Singh Retd, Director AWES SWC, for an official visit. The day began with a warm welcome from the school’s administration upon his arrival.
He was briefed by the Vice Principal, who provided an in-depth overview of the school’s achievements, ongoing initiatives and future plans. This comprehensive presentation highlighted the dedication of APS Bathinda to fostering academic excellence and holistic development among its students.
Following the briefing, he was given a detailed tour of the school premises, offering him the opportunity to experience firsthand the state-of-the-art facilities, robust infrastructure and the vibrant academic environment that define APS Bathinda.
In addition to the visit, he actively contributed to the academic community by joining the panel for CSB interviews organised at the school. Students, parents and teachers of the school participated in the live telecast of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 on February 10, 2025 at 11:00 am. The session, led by Hon’ble Prime Minister, provided valuable insights on stress management, effective study techniques and exam preparedness.
Asha Milap (2024-25)
Army Public School Bathinda had the privilege of hosting students from Chetak Asha School on February 12, 2025. The students were accompanied by their Principal, Mrs. Sheetal, along with two special educators.

Vidyanjali Project 2024-25
Visit of GPS, Dhobiana Students to APS Extension and Pre Primary Wing on March 4,2025.
Students from Government Primary School, Dhobiana visited the APS Extension Wing and Pre Primary Wing as part of the Vidyanjali Project, engaging in a variety of interactive and educational activities. They had the opportunity to explore different labs, enhancing their knowledge and skills through practical, hands-on experiences. In the computer lab, students utilized Tux Paint, fostering creativity and technical skills. Their visit to the sensory park promoted tactile awareness and the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the sensory park and the Resource room. This enriching experience broadened the students' intellectual horizons, nurtured a passion for learning, and supported their overall personal development.

Earth Day is celebrated all around the world with a beautiful message - "Our continuing efforts in our everyday lives will make this beautiful planet thrive." 22nd April, Earth Day was observed at APS Main Wing and APS Extension appreciating the uniqueness of our Planet Earth. Planter Makeover activity was conducted for the students of classes III and VII. The students of Class -ll took the responsibility to plant more trees with the help of their teachers on this day and to protect our environment before it's too late.

An interaction session for class I(2023-24) was conducted on 8th April and 21April from 9 am to 12 am.
Teachers had an interaction with new kids. It was a healthy and interesting conversation between teachers and students which will help in the smooth functioning of the upcoming session. Teachers became familiar with the potential of their students.
It was conducted smoothly and it was a successful show. Children and teachers participated with full zeal and zest.
AWES RAISING DAY 2023-24
A special assembly was conducted on 29 April to mark AWES raising day by the students of classes X B and V H in APS main wing & class II D in APS Extension. The assembly began with prayer and AWES song. The students conducted a talk show to demonstrate
the importance of AWES in the life of an army brat. A quiz was conducted by the students. All the teachers took a pledge to be fully committed to the great mission of teaching by providing 'Quality Education' to students. The assembly concluded with national anthem.
Welcome Assembly (2024-25)
A special assembly was organized by the students of II A , V J and XII (Arts) to mark the beginning of new session with full zeal and pride. The assembly began with Morning Prayer followed by thought of the day and news. Mrs Renu Arya welcomed the students with welcome note and motivational talk. Teachers presented a welcome song for students of class II. A speech and group song were presented by students of Class V and XII (Arts). The special assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
Special assembly on Baisakhi (2024-25)
A special assembly on Baisakhi was organized by II A,II C,V D and XII B in Extension Wing, Primary Wing and Senior Wing of our school on April 12, April 13 respectively. It was concluded with a vibrant celebration of the harvest festival, showcasing cultural performances, speeches on the significance of Baisakhi.
SWC Inter APS Football Championship for Girls (U-17) (2024-25)
In the realm of athletic pursuits, APS Bathinda hosted the prestigious South Western Command Inter APS Football Championship for Girls (U-17), from the 22 April to 27 April 2024. Embracing the spirit of competition, eleven Army Schools from the Command eagerly participated in this esteemed event. A Coordinating Conference, convened on the Inaugural Day under the guidance of the Offg. Principal, APS Bathinda, disseminated crucial information pertaining to the organization and conduct of matches. The tournament was unfolded across two distinguished venues: Venue 1, APS Bathinda, and Venue 2, 10 CSR. Radiating with ceremonial splendor, the event was inaugurated by the Offg. Principal, APS Bathinda, where her address inspired and motivated the participating teams to strive for excellence. The Match Officials, hailing from the prestigious MAFA Academy, Bathinda observed the proceedings with precision and integrity.
In the annals of victory, APS Hisar emerged triumphant, securing the first position, closely followed by APS Suratgarh and APS Alwar, who claimed the titles of first and second runners-up, respectively. The accolade of the tournament's best player was bestowed upon Nisha Sharma from APS Alwar.
The league matches, encompassing all eleven teams, from 22 to 25 of April 2024, paved the path for exhilarating Semi-Finals and the climactic Finale held on 26 and 27 April 2024, respectively. Amidst the fervor of competition, a cultural evening on 25 April 2024 provided a platform for participants from all teams to showcase their diverse talents.
Chairman APS Bathinda graced the Prize Distribution Event held on 27 April 2024 as the Chief Guest, congratulated the victorious teams, adorned them with trophies, medals, and certificates. His commendations further extended to the remaining teams, Teacher In-Charges, and Match Officials, who were honoured with certificates.
The collective feedback from all the participating teams resounded with an overwhelming sense of optimism, enduring spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie that characterized this prestigious tournament.
Celebration of World Earth Day (2024-2025 )
Earth Day is celebrated all around the world with a beautiful message - "Our continuing efforts in our everyday lives will make this beautiful planet thrive." A special assembly was organized by the students of Classes II E, II F, VJ and X A on World Earth Day on April 19 and April 22, 2024. The assembly began with the chanting of Gayatri Mantra, pledge, thought of the day, poem recitation, speech, news headlines and dance performance. Students performed dance with great pomp and show. The assembly concluded with National Anthem. The students of Classes -I and II planted various saplings with the help of their teachers on this day and students of classes III & VII made beautiful planters under Best Out of waste Activity . It helped in spreading environmental awareness among the students and their role as a responsible and proud citizen of the nation.

To mark the World Health Day, an activity,'Healthy Plate, Happy Me' was conducted in the APS Extension Wing, focusing on the importance of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
Interaction Session For Class I (2025-26)
An interaction session for class I was conducted on April 07, 2025 from 0900 hrs to 1200 hrs. Teachers interacted with new kids, which will help in the smooth functioning of the school in the upcoming session. It was a successful show, as children participated with full zeal and zest.
Baisakhi Celebration (2025-26)
A special assembly was organised to celebrate Baisakhi with vibrant presentations, poems and cultural performances. Students of classes I to V participated in Harvest Art Activity, showcasing their creativity and festive spirit.
Campus Visit to Baba Farid Group of Institutions 2025-26
Students of Classes X and XII, accompanied by their class teachers, visited Baba Farid Group of Institutions for an educational campus tour on 16 April 2025. The visit provided students with valuable exposure to the academic environment and infrastructure of a higher education institute.
Class XII students were given a detailed tour of various laboratories, where they got first-hand insight into practical learning and research facilities related to different streams. The interactive sessions with faculty members further helped them understand course offerings and career opportunities.
Meanwhile, Class X students explored the campus library, workshop area and other infrastructure. The visit aimed to inspire and motivate them by giving a glimpse of the resources and opportunities available in the field of higher education.
Overall, the visit was informative and engaging, offering students a broader perspective on academic and career planning.

Lacing and tracing activities boosted fine motor skills, while jumping, skipping, and dance sessions enhanced gross motor development.
Under the theme “Me and My Family,” students engaged in creative family activities, celebrated Baisakhi with joy, and enjoyed their first day of school.
They explored their creativity through turtle-making in the Circle Activity, celebrated Earth Day with hand printing, and brightened up the Yellow Color Day with vibrant smiles.

Labour Day Activity 2023-24
A worker is a creator and a great asset to every nation
1st May of every year is celebrated as Labour Day. A special assembly was conducted by the students of X C in APS main wing and classes II E and II F in APS Extension to sensitize students with the efforts put in by the supporting staff. Some fun games were organized for the supporting staff. Some supporting staff members were felicitated by the Principal for giving their best in their trade and facilitating in smooth functioning of the school.
The tiny tots of class -I and ll celebrated the labour's day by doing Fancy dress Competition. Students acted like different helpers of our society and tell their importance in our lives. This Activity was designed to showcase the better understanding of the labour community among the students to respect and appreciate their efforts.

To promote physical fitness, Inter-House Badminton Competition was organised at Chetak Sports Complex from May 08, 2023 to May 13, 2023. Girls and Boys from all the four houses enthusiastically participated in the competition under Sub Jr., Jr. and Sr. categories for both boys and girls. It was a display of exertion and high sportsmanship.
Mother's Day Activity (2023-24)
On account of Mother's day to express respect, honour and love towards mothers, a Card Making Activity was conducted on May 12, 2023 for classes l and ll in their activity periods. Card making activity helps the students to develop their motor skills and to enhance their creativity. It was pleasure watching dynamic and energetic children preparing something unique and special. The outcomes of their efforts were marvellous.
INTER HOUSE KHO-KHO COMPETITION 2023-24
"Sports have the power to transform, to inspire, and to unite people in a way that little else can. They speak to the soul and bring out the best in individuals, teaching invaluable lessons of teamwork, discipline, and resilience." In line with this sentiment, an Inter-House Football Competition took place from 10 April to 16 April for Sr. Wing and 29 April to 3 May for Jr. and Sub Jr. Wing. Boys across all age categories, Sub Junior (III-V), Junior (VI-VIII), and Senior (IX-XII), participated with tremendous enthusiasm. Celebration of Mother's Day A special assembly was conducted by the students of classes IC, ID, IVD, and IX A on Mother's Day in their respective wings. The assembly began with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, followed by thoughts, news, and poems. The students of classes IC, ID and IX A performed dances with great pomp and show.The Vice Principal addressed the students on the importance of gratitude during the Mother's Day Assembly." An inter-house group singing competition for classes III to VIII and card-making activity for classes I to V were organised . These activities helped the students enhance their motor skills and creativity. INTER-HOUSE FOOTBALL COMPETITION (2024-25)
"Sports have the power to transform, to inspire, and to unite people in a way that little else can. They speak to the soul and bring out the best in individuals, teaching invaluable lessons of teamwork, discipline, and resilience." In line with this sentiment, an Inter-House Football Competition took place from 10 April to 16 April for Sr. Wing and 29 April to 3 May for Jr. and Sub Jr. Wing. Boys across all age categories, Sub Junior (III-V), Junior (VI-VIII), and Senior (IX-XII), participated with tremendous enthusiasm. Each house team endeavored to showcase their skills on the field and prove their worth. Investiture Ceremony 2023-24
" Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life." The investiture ceremony, marking the formation of the new "Student Council" for the academic session 2023-24, was solemnised with great pomp and dignity on July 20,2023 in Aps Extension. The ceremony commenced with Prayer, followed by the March past and pipping ceremony. While administering the oath to the Student Council, the Principal imbibed the spirit of "Soaring High". She conferred the elected students with sashes and congratulated them, emphasising the significance of setting priorities and performing their duties well. The zeal of the council was reflected in their confidence and dedication to execute their work. The ceremony concluded with the national anthem.
Monsoon Fun Activity 2023-24
To welcome the much awaited monsoon, kids participated in an activity with the theme " Monsoon Fun" on 21 July 2023. Students of class I & II made beautiful cutouts of colourful umbrellas, clouds and raindrops. Students participated enthusiastically and exhibited their unique piece of art.
Kargil Vijay Diwas Activity 2023-24
On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a special assembly was organised to commemorate and pay homage to the brave soldiers who valiantly defended our Nation during the Kargil War. The assembly began with National Anthem, followed by a poignant tribute to the martyrs, highlighting their unwavering courage and sacrifice. Students delivered heartfelt speeches, expressing gratitude towards our Armed Forces and emphasizing the significance of this historic victory. Through soul-stirring performances, including patriotic songs and heartening poems, the indomitable spirit of our soldiers and their unyielding love for the motherland was celebrated. The Principal felicitated Dilwinder Singh of XII Arts for bagging prize in Bodybuilding Competition. She addressed the gathering and paid tribute to the supreme sacrifices made by our heroes and further emphasized to engrain a profound sense of patriotism and appreciation for the security and unity of our beloved Nation.
INTER SCHOOL POETRY RECITATION AND DECLAMATION COMPETITION 2024
Students of APS Bathinda showcased their remarkable talent at the Inter School Poetry Recitation and Declamation Competition organized by Delhi Public School Bathinda. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from our students, who demonstrated exceptional oratory and recitation skills.
In the Poetry Recitation Competition, Avyaan from Class IV and Shanvika Chaturvedi from Class V represented APS Bathinda with poise and confidence, captivating the audience with their expressive renditions.

The special assembly on the occasion of Independence Day began with solemn moment of flag hoisting, symbolizing our unity and freedom. The resonating notes of the National anthem filled the air, invoking a sense of patriotism among all attendees. A collective pledge was taken to uphold the values of our Nation. A thought-provoking reflection on the sacrifices of our freedom fighters was shared, setting the tone for the event. A captivating role play followed, depicting the journey to Independence. A heartfelt poem paid tribute to our Nation's heroes and their indomitable spirit. The assembly burst into vibrant energy with an Inter-House Dance Competition and Cultural Programme celebrating unity through diversity. Eshal Bindra of class X D was felicitated for being selected in the command team of Ethics Bowl Competition. The Principal addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of our responsibilities as citizens. Excitement peaked as the results of Inter-House Dance Competition were announced. The assembly concluded with a renewed commitment to our Nation’s values and a shared sense of pride, echoing in the dispersal of attendees.
Sports Day was celebrated 2023-24
Sports Day was celebrated on August 31, 2023 in Extension Wing to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand and to raise the awareness about the importance of sports and physical activities in everyone’s life. To make this day special, various races and sports events were conducted in Extension Wing .The Principal, Ms Sukhdeep Kaur motivated the kids to participate in different sports activities. On 2nd August 2024, the school community warmly welcomed Maj Rashmi Prakash (Retd.) as Principal, APS Bathinda. The Vice Principal extended a gracious welcome, setting a positive tone for this new leadership chapter.
The Head Boy and Head Girl of the Primary Wing presented the Principal with a beautiful planter, symbolizing growth and new beginnings. Additionally, the Head Girl and Vice Head Boy presented a thoughtful welcome card.

AWWA ETHICS BOWL COMPETITION 2024
South Western Command AWWA Ethics Bowl Competition 2024-25 was conducted from July 03, 2024 to July 12, 2024 with the objective to teach the students the difference between right and wrong and enable them to take ethically correct decisions while facing real life situations. APS Bathinda won the competition out of twelve schools and qualified for Inter Command Ethics Bowl Competition 2024.
Further, President AWWA Rolling Trophy Ethics Bowl 2024 was hosted by APS Dhaula Kuan from July 26, 2024 to August 02, 2024. The team of APS Bathinda represented the South Western Command which qualified Quarter Final and participated in the Semi Final Round of Nationals.
Inter House Debate Competition 2024
Inter House Debate Competition was organized at Army Public School, Bathinda Military Station, where students from Classes IX to XII showcased their oratory skills and critical thinking on contemporary topics. The event featured debates in both English and Hindi, allowing students to express their views on pertinent issues.
In the English debate, participants deliberated on the topic, “The use of Artificial Intelligence - a threat to employment opportunities or a driver of economic growth” and for the Hindi debate, the topic was “विद्यार्थियों के शैक्षणिक विकास में कृत्रिम बुधी सहायक है," where students discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on academic development. The debate highlighted diverse opinions on how AI could influence the educational landscape, with students bringing in insights from their academic experiences and research.

Army Public School, Bathinda, achieved significant success at the Luminaire 2024-25 event hosted by Saint Xavier's School on August 12-13, 2024. Competing against 18 schools, students demonstrated exceptional talent and creativity.
*Day 1:* Simrath Kaur (Class I A) won first place in the Rangoli Competition with the theme "Freedom."Ayush Santosh Patil (Class IV A) earned third place in the "Visual Vibes" Poster-Making Event.Our entry in the "My Future Saviour" play received a participation certificate.
*Day 2:* Paarth Sharma (Class II F) secured first place in the Matchbox Race.

Our school celebrated Janmashtami on the 23rd and 24th of August 2024 with great enthusiasm and devotion. The festivities began with a special assembly featuring a prayer, a devotional song, and a brief narration highlighting the significance of Janmashtami and the values imparted by Lord Krishna's teachings.Students actively participated in the celebration by dressing up as various characters from Lord Krishna's life, which added a vibrant and festive atmosphere to the event. The assembly showcased the active involvement of students from various classes, reflecting their dedication and enthusiasm. Additionally, an Inter-House Dance Competition was organized for classes III to V. Each performance was remarkable and contributed to a spirit of healthy competition, while also promoting cultural values among the young learners.The celebration was a resounding success. On 24th August 2024, APS Bathinda had the honour of hosting Col G S Shanwal Director AWES SWC, for an official visit. The day commenced with a warm welcome upon his arrival at APS Bathinda, where he was received by the school’s administration. Following the arrival, Col Shanwal was given a detailed briefing by the Principal, who provided insights into the school’s achievements, initiatives and future plans. Thirteen teams from across the command battled it out with powerful arguments, sharp interjections, and inspiring speeches—making it a true celebration of language, leadership and logic.
The event was graced by the Chairman, APS Bathinda and evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges: Mrs. Sneh Lata Goswami, Dr. Dimple Rani and Dr. Chanchal Bala.

A session on ‘Magical Words’ was conducted on 6th August 2025 by the School Counsellor, Ms. Visakha Priya, for Classes I and II at APS Extension. The session emphasized the importance of polite words such as ‘Please’, ‘Thank You’, ‘Sorry’, and ‘Excuse Me’. Janmashtami Celebration (2025-26)
Our school celebrated Janmashtami on 14th August 2025 with great enthusiasm and devotion. The festivities began with a special assembly featuring a prayer, a devotional song, and a brief narration highlighting the significance of Janmashtami and the values imparted by Lord Krishna’s teachings. Students from various classes actively participated, reflecting their dedication and enthusiasm.
Additionally, an Inter-House Dance Competition was organized for Classes III to V. Each performance was remarkable, contributing to a spirit of healthy competition while promoting cultural values among young learners.
Ashoka House achieved First Position, followed by Shivaji House in Second Place, and Akbar House in Third Place.
APS Bathinda Felicitates National Debate Champions (2025-26)
Army Public School, Bathinda created history as its students clinched the First Position at the AWES National Level Hindi Debate Competition 2025, held recently at APS Noida. This is the first-ever national victory in Hindi debate for the school, marking a proud milestone.
The winning team — Ashvi Singh Parmar (Speaker For the Motion), Samandram Prince (Interjector) and Simron Choudhury (Speaker Against the Motion)— was given a grand welcome on their return to school. A special felicitation ceremony was organised in the school assembly, attended by their proud parents, teacher in-charges and the Special Guest, Ms. Renu Arya, former PGT Hindi of APS Bathinda, who played a key role in mentoring the students.
The Principal and Vice Principal honoured the winners with gift hampers and certificates, while the teacher in-charges Ms Seema Rani, Ms Rajni Bala and Ms Umrawati along with Ms Renu Arya were presented with Certificates of Appreciation.
The event was a celebration not only of the students’ talent and hard work but also of the teamwork, guidance and encouragement that paved the way for this national triumph. The entire APS Bathinda fraternity rejoices in this achievement, which has brought glory to the school at the national stage.
Independence Day Celebration ( 2025-26)
Army Public School, Bathinda, marked the 79th Independence Day with a series of vibrant and engaging activities, celebrating the spirit of patriotism and unity. The events were organized over two days, from 14th to 15th August 2025.
Activities on 14th August:
• Tricolour Food Activity: Students of Classes I–VIII participated by bringing dishes inspired by the colours of the Indian Flag.
• Flag Making Activity: Students of Classes I–XII showcased their creativity by designing and crafting the Indian flag, symbolizing their pride in the nation.
Independence Day Celebration on 15th August 2025:
• Special Assembly: The programme commenced with the Flag Hoisting by the Principal, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem by the gathering. Students presented a patriotic song, speech and dance performances that highlighted the significance of the occasion.
· Cycle Rally: A cycle rally themed 'Har Ghar Tiranga' was organised, where students and staff displayed the tricolor, promoting the message of unity and patriotism.
• Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign: Students of Classes I–XII participated in the national campaign by capturing selfies with the Tiranga and uploading them on the official campaign website.
Independence Day Celebrations (2025-26)
Army Public School, Bathinda celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The programme commenced with the Flag Hoisting by the Principal, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem by the gathering.
Students presented a patriotic poem and speech, expressing their love for the nation and paying tribute to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. This was followed by a soulful patriotic group song by the school music band, which filled the atmosphere with national pride.
A colourful Inter House Dance Competition on patriotic themes showcased the talent and spirit of the students. In the keenly contested event, Ashoka House secured the First Position, followed by Pratap House in Second Place, while Akbar House and Shivaji House shared the Third Position.
In her motivational address, the Principal urged the students to uphold the values of unity, responsibility and dedication towards the nation. The celebration concluded with the community singing of ‘Vande Mataram’, after which students were dispersed with refreshments.
The day served as a reminder of the hard-earned freedom of the nation and inspired everyone present to contribute meaningfully to the country’s progress.
SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY ( 2025-26)
A ‘Show and Tell’ activity was conducted for Classes I and II on 22nd August 2025, where students confidently showcased their favourite objects and spoke a few lines about them. The activity helped enhance their communication skills and boosted their self-confidence.
VIDYANJALI SESSION ( 2025-26)
A session on ‘Magical Words’ and Drawing & Coloring of the National Flag was organized on 22nd August 2025 at GPS Dhobiana, Bathinda under the Vidyanjali Project. All the students of the school were given refreshment packets to motivate them and ensure active participation.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY (2025-26)
The Investiture Ceremony for the Student Council of the academic session 2025-26 was successfully held at APS Bathinda for the Extension, Junior, and Senior Wing on 27th August 2025. During this esteemed event the Principal, Vice Principal, and Coordinators had the honour of pinning the badges on the new council members, officially recognizing their roles and responsibilities.

Teachers' Day Celebration 2023-24
The Teachers' Day celebrations at APS Bathinda Main Wing and APS Bathinda Extension Wing were a vibrant and joyful affair. The day commenced with a warm welcome for the dedicated educators, who were greeted with heartfelt appreciation from the students. The program showcased the rich cultural diversity of the school with classical dance performances, followed by lighthearted and fun games designed to bring smiles to the teachers' faces. A captivating skit was performed, highlighting the important role of teachers in shaping young minds. Teachers' Day was celebrated by the students of classes I-XII on September 5, 2024 to recognize and appreciate the
vital role that educators play in shaping the future of individuals and societies. This occasion offers an opportunity to
express gratitude to the teachers who dedicate their lives to imparting knowledge, nurturing talents and moulding
young minds. Card making activity was organised for students of classes I- VIII. School choir sang a melodious number to highlight the importance of Teachers’ Day. Students put up the entertaining dancing performances. A short skit dramatically portrayed the classroom
experience which was praiseworthy. The morning assembly concluded with National Anthem.
Visit of Mrs Manveet Virk, Zonal President, AWWA (2025-26))
Mrs Manveet Virk, Zonal President, AWWA, visited the Pre Primary Wing of Army Public School, Bathinda on 9th September 2025 at 1030 hrs. The preschool children extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guest with flowers and cheerful smiles.
Mrs Virk was received by the Principal and the Chairman, APS Bathinda. A detailed briefing about the school’s activities and facilities was presented by the Headmistress, Pre Primary Wing.
During her visit, Mrs Virk inspected the classrooms, interacted with the teachers, and appreciated the efforts taken to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for the young learners. The first ever Spell Bee Competition Activity 2023-24Mock G20 Summit hosted by APS Bathinda (2023-24)
The Final round of Spell Bee Competition for selected students of class I and II was conducted on 20 October 2023 at Army Public School Extension Wing. The students displayed exceptional skill and mastery while writing the spellings of the advanced words providing them with an opportunity to showcase their spelling abilities in a competitive and supportive environment.
Around 48 shortlisted students from classes I and II enthusiastically participated in the Final round of Spell Bee Competition. Children performed enthusiastically during the competition.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) 2023-24
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) is observed every year to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel popularly known as the Iron man of India on October 31,2023.A special assembly was conducted by students of classes l i , IJ and lV-H .The assembly commenced with prayer , thought , followed by speech and group dance. Students from classes l - Xll took integrity pledge during assembly. The students audience were thrilled at the performance of their batchmates and applauded loudly making the atmosphere echoing with sounds of thrill and enjoyment. Unity Run was conducted by the students of classes lX -Xll.
Counselling Session on 'Game of Magical Words'
An interactive session on the topic 'Game of Magical Words' was successfully conducted for classes I and II by the school counsellor, Ms Vishakha, on 3rd October 2024. The objective of the session was to inculcate moral values in the young children.
Excursion to Chetak Park
The students of Classes III to V enjoyed an exciting and memorable day out at Chetak Park, with each class visiting on separate days over the course of three days. Each day was filled with fun and adventure, with the children thoroughly enjoying the various rides and activities.
Teachers organised engaging events such as dance, music, and games, which kept the students entertained. A special photography session captured the joyful moments shared by everyone. One of the key highlights was observing the different species of birds, which fascinated the children.

A special assembly was organized by classes II F, II G, IV I and VII B to celebrate Diwali and emphasize the importance of this joyous festival. The event featured a vibrant dance performance and a delightful choir, with students singing melodious songs that beautifully captured the spirit of the occasion. The students exhibited great enthusiasm and dedication, making the event memorable for all. NATIONAL LEVEL INTER APS ENGLISH DEBATE COMPETITION 2024
Army Public School, Bathinda Military Station, proudly participated in the AWES National Level English Debate Comp 2024, achieving an impressive second place overall and securing a cash prize of Rs. 18,000. The team, comprising Master Abhinav N (XI Commerce), Miss Simron Choudhary (X A) and Miss Purvee Sansi (X D), showcased exceptional debating skills and eloquence, with Simron Choudhary clinching the title of second Best Speaker for the motion, and Abhinav N was recognized as the second Best Speaker against the motion, reflecting their mastery of argumentation and depth of insight. Gurpurab Celebration at APS Bathinda (2024-25)
APS Bathinda celebrated Gurpurab on 13 November 2024 with a heartfelt Special Assembly. The day began with a serene Parbhat Pheri, followed by a soulful Shabad Kirtan by the school choir. A thought-provoking speech highlighted Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings of equality and compassion, while the Junior Wing students delivered a vibrant performance showcasing his life and values.
The winners of various Inter House competitions were felicitated, adding to the joy of the occasion.The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired and united in reverence for the Guru's teachings.
Visit to Asha School (2024-25)
A visit to Chetak Asha School was conducted on 13-11-2024 by the Special Educator and 4 CwSN of APS Bathinda to celebrate Children’s day. Students of Asha School are categorised as per their disability i.e mild, moderate, severe and profound. After completing Primary and Secondary classes, vocational training is imparted to students of age group 14 to 18 years where they learn to make candles, soap , paper bags, customised cups, t shirts etc. They have rooms which are specifically designed for various therapies like physiotherapy, vocational , life skill , speech therapy , hydrotherapy to meet needs of students with various disabilities. Students of APS were taken to different classrooms where they interacted with students having various disabilities. A small activity was performed by the students of APS on ‘Colours Name’, ‘How To Greet’ in Indian Sign Language. Some cases were discussed in brief by the Principal Mrs Sheetal. Visit came to an end with distributing candies by the students of APS.
Children’s Day Celebration at APS Bathinda (2024-25)
APS Bathinda celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm and joy. The special assembly conducted by teachers featured a morning prayer, thought, news, and a heartfelt speech on the day’s significance. Teachers added to the excitement with a soulful group song and an energetic dance performance.
Interactive games for students kept the event lively, while a hilarious stand-up comedy act added fun. The felicitation ceremony recognized students' achievements, followed by an inspiring address by the Principal. The celebration concluded with a vibrant Bhangra performance and the National Anthem.
The event was a beautiful tribute to the spirit and potential of children, making it a day to cherish.
APS Bathinda organised it's Annual Function ‘Aarohan’ 2024
On 26 November 2024, Tuesday, Army Public School, Bathinda celebrated its Annual Function ‘Aarohan’ with great zeal and enthusiasm. The programme commenced with lighting of lamp by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Vinika Singh, Zonal President, AWWA Chetak 10 Corps. On this occasion, the Chairman of the School, Brig M S Gill and Mrs Gill graced the evening with their presence.
Cultural programme began with a mesmerising dance – Celestial Blessings followed by captivating dance by the little students, ‘Young Sprouts’ leaving everyone spellbound. The young yogis amazed the audience with their astonishing yoga poses. Where English play based on teachings of Gautam Buddha ‘The Enlightened One’ conveyed the message of non-violence and peace to all, the talk show ‘Drishti’ apprised everyone about National Education Policy 2020. The ‘Fashion Show- Spectrum of Cultures’ presented glimpses of India's cultural heritage. The significance of five elements-‘Water, Air, Fire, Sky and Earth’ in life was depicted through the dance choreography of ‘Panchtatva’. Other captivating activities such as ‘Beat Bandhan,’ ‘Zumba Zone’ and ‘An Aurora’ added new dimensions to the function.
Principal APS Bathinda, Major Rashmi Prakash Retd, presented the Annual Report of school, highlighting its achievements and key activities. The Prize Distribution Ceremony began with the Chief Guest felicitating the winners and achievers for their sincere efforts in the fields of Academics, Co-curricular and Sports. Teachers were also felicitated for their contribution to the school's success. Chairman APS Bathinda, Brig MS Gill, addressed the gathering where he appreciated school Principal and entire APS fraternity and also encouraged them to reach new heights in the future. The energetic and lively ‘Bhangra’ gave a great culmination to the celebration. The event concluded with heart-warming ‘Vote of Thanks’ presented by the Head Girl, Ms Aanandi Patil and rendition of National Anthem.
APS BATHINDA ORGANISES ANNUAL SPORTS MEET ‘SPARDHA’23’ WITH GUSTO (2023-24)
APS Bathinda organized its spectacular Annual Sports Meet, ‘SPARDHA’23’ (closing ceremony) on Dec 1, 2023. Senior Patron, APS Bathinda graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Zonal President AWWA as the Guest of Honour.
The Sports Meet commenced on Nov 29, 2023 with unfurling of School Flag and release of balloons followed by lighting of ceremonial torch by the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest for the day, School Patron, then declared the Sports Meet open. The action-packed events for three days, promised exuberant thrill of field and track competitions, community camaraderie and wholesome fun.
The extravaganza of array of exciting events on the final day had a flying start with magnificent March Past and Oath ceremony. Where all guests were mesmerized with the melodious Welcome Song, synchronised Mass PT and Athletic events instilled the spirit of sportsmanship and unity in one and all present.
Welcome Dance with its foot tapping amalgamation of songs from three different languages added splendour to the show. Students of Primary Wing enthralled the audience with their vibrant and colourful Group Dance. The astounding Aerobics, Yoga & Martial Arts display sensitised all present about the importance of physical and mental strength. The event reached its pinnacle with ‘Theme Dance’ that kicked up a notch by adding zeal and vigour with depiction of lives of celebrated Sportsmen.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony began with the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour felicitating the winners and achievers for their sincere efforts in the fields of Academics, Co- Curricular and Sports. The event concluded with heart-warming Vote of Thanks presented by the Head Girl, Ms Sayuri Gawali and rendition of National Anthem.
Annual Administrative and Technical Inspection (ATI) 2024
The Annual Administrative and Technical Inspection (ATI) 2024 was held on December 4th and 5th, 2024. The inspection team comprised Mrs. Priti Menaria, Principal, APS Kota, and Education Officer, APS Bathinda.
On December 4th, the team observed teaching practices, toured the school premises, and inspected administrative and academic documentation.
On December 5th, the day began with the observation of morning assembly by Mrs Priti Menaria, Principal, APS Kota followed by presentation by the Principal, APS Bathinda. Later, the Presiding Officer, accompanied by Principal APS Kota and Education Officer engaged in an interactive session with the staff.
The inspection provided valuable insights and reaffirmed the school’s dedication to maintaining high standards in administration, academics and overall development.
National Mathematics Day Celebration 2024-2025
National Mathematics Day, celebrated annually on 22 December, commemorates the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan. At APS Bathinda, a series of engaging activities were conducted on December 20, 2024, to honor this occasion, aiming to create awareness about the importance of mathematics in daily life and to ignite students’ interest in the subject.
The day began with a special assembly where students enthusiastically shared intriguing mathematical facts. A stimulating quiz was organized for students of classes VI to IX and XI, testing their problem-solving skills and mathematical knowledge. The assembly concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem.
Simultaneously, activities such as solving riddles, performing “Maths Claps” on multiples of three, and identifying mathematical terms based on alphabets were organised for students of classes III to V.
In classrooms, diverse hands-on activities were planned to further engage students.
Highlights included:
- Class 3: Drawing clocks to depict “quarter past three” and “half past six” in a 12-hour format.
- Class 4: Completing patterns from their mathematics textbook (pages 201 and 203).
- Class 5: A group activity to create pictographs displaying data on favorite sports, colors, foods and subjects. Teachers facilitated teamwork and creativity among students to make this activity successful.
The celebration not only reinforced the significance of mathematics but also inspired students to approach the subject with curiosity and enthusiasm. APS Bathinda’s efforts to make learning mathematics enjoyable ensured that the day was a resounding success.
Christmas Celebration 2024-2025
A special assembly was organized on the joyous occasion of Christmas on 24 December 2024. Children participated enthusiastically and showcased their talents through various performances, including carol singing, skit and vibrant dances, to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and welcome the upcoming New Year.
Bagless Day for Classes I to V
The school organized a vibrant and engaging Bagless Day on the eve of Christmas for Classes I to V on 24th December. The day was filled with excitement, creativity, and fun activities.
The celebrations started with Christmas-themed activities like decorating a Christmas tree, designing thoughtful Christmas greetings, and making snowmen.
For Classes I and II, the day continued with a refreshing Nature Walk, where students explored the school garden. They enjoyed Movie Time, watching a delightful Christmas-themed film. A calming Yoga Session was held to help them relax, followed by an interactive Teacher Talk focusing on the significance of Christmas and kindness. Students also participated in a lively Quiz and a Just a Minute (JAM) activity, which boosted their confidence and quick thinking.
For Classes III to V, the students prepared a delicious and healthy fruit salad after the assembly. They participated in vegetable printing and created colorful patterns and designs.They also designed beautiful posters.
The day concluded with an English Reading Session and students wrote their resolutions at the end.
The celebration was a wonderful opportunity for students to express themselves and share in the festive spirit.
